Vice
President: Mr. Yang Qixian
He was born in Chongqing in June 1927 and graduated
from the Industrial and Commercial Management
Department of Sichuan Normal University. He is
a professor and senior research fellow.
He worked in the Ministry of the Northeast Industry
(1951-1952), and in the Comprehensive Bureau of
State Planning Commission in 1952-1972. He was
Vice Dean of Economic Department of Hebei University
(1973-1980), Director of the Planning Department
and full-time Commissioner of SCRES and Vice Minister
of the Economic System Reform Programs Office
of the State Council (1981-1990), and member of
the Eighth National Committee and Economic Committee
of CPPCC. He has been Vice President of CSER and
Vice President of China Society of Market Economy
since 1992. He was conferred “the Economist with
Outstanding Contribution” by State Council in
1992 and enjoyed state special subsidy.
The major research speciality:
He knows quite well the tortuous process of the
economic development since China’s establishment,
has a systematic understanding and experience
of the history, successful experiences and lessons
of China’s planned economy and market economy,
and has a deep research of macro-economic analysis
and management and the theory and practice of
state-owned enterprise reform.
