Vice
President: Mr. Wu Jie
He was born in Huhehaote of Inner Mongolia in
December 1935. In 1960 he graduated from the Engineering
Physics Department of the Leningrad Chemical and
Industrial Academy of the former Soviet Union.
He is a senior research fellow, professor and
expert of systems science and systems philosophy.
From 1960 to 1980, he conducted research and
taught in the Ministry of the Second Machinery
Industry, Inner Mongolia and Chinese Academy of
Sciences, and was the visiting scholar in California
State University, Northridge. He was Vice Mayor
of Chifeng of Inner Mongolia (1983-1985), Mayor
of Baotou (1985-1989), Vice Provincial Governor
of Shanxi (1989-1993), Vice Minister of SCRES
and Head of the Institute of Economic System and
Management (1993-1998), deputy to the Eighth National
People’s Congress, member of the Environment and
Resource Committee of the Eighth National People’s
Congress, member of the Ninth National Committee
of CPPCC. In March 1989, he was awarded the title
of “National Extraordinary Leader of Environment
Protection” by the State Council. He is the member
of the Tenth National Committee of CPPCC, President
of Society for Research on Deng Xiaoping Thought,
President of China Society of Systematic Science,
Vice President of China Society of Economic Reform,
Vice Board Chairman of China Society of Soft Science,
Vice President of China Society of Productive
Forces, and adjunct professor of Beijing University
and other 18 universities.
Major academic achievements:
He establishes the course of systems dialectics
and journal of Research on Systems Dialectics
and scientifically founds the philosophical theory
of “One divides into multi-parts” and “Multi-parts
combine into one”. He is the first one to put
forward and set up the scientific system of Deng
Xiaoping Thought, pointing out that the core of
the Marxism and Deng Xiaoping Thought is wholism
and initiating the research of the systems theory
of the Marxism and Leninism. He points out that
the basic law of the national economy is the law
of whole effectiveness and the effective management
way is the integral management, and establishing
the socialist market economy should be based on
the whole advance and whole range of reform, otherwise,
single reform can only result in corruption and
bureaucratism of low efficiency.
